Friday evening saw most of us gathered around a camp fire into the wee small hours. On Saturday morning we had an impromptu practice session for the new Grimlets. They very quickly picked up Tinner's Rabbit and then taught it to some other children who had been watching with interest.
After lunch, or after breakfast for the late rising musicians!, most of us went for a row on Thorpeness Meare. The boatful of teens was most entertaining until they had been left so far behind that we could no longer see them. Ice cream was next on the agenda.
Later in the afternoon Harry, John and I wandered down the road for a quiet pint at the Eel's Foot. Then back to the campsite for the traditional mass barbecue. This was the first time that we didn't have Kenny and his Webber to cater for us but somehow we muddled through.
Sunday saw us performing at Magical Marshes, more elsewhere, before breaking camp. The general consensus was that it was a shame we hadn't planned to stay longer. As it was the stragglers stretched out the weekend with one last barbecue for tea.
